Moving to North-St.-Paul

The North St. Paul community welcomes you to the area and your new home. As part of the greater Ramsey County in eastern Minnesota, North St. Paul is only minutes from St. Paul and the Minneapolis metro area. Settle in and take advantage of everything this community has to offer and you will be pleased that you have chosen North St. Paul as your new home.

The North St. Paul Police Department is dedicated to making the community a safer place to live. The department believes in starting crime prevention with the youth and one way it does this is through the "Cops Reaching Out to Community Kids" (CROCK) program. The goals of this program are to promote trust between the police officers and the community's teens and children. CROCK sponsors a teen night once a month where teens can participate in fun activities with the officers in a safe and social environment. For more information about crime prevention or the CROCK program, call the North St. Paul Police Department at (651) 747-2541.

The Fare for All Express is a way for less fortunate families to get quality food and groceries or to help North St. Paul residents through a difficult financial time. If you are in need of quality food, you can visit the Community Center once a month and save up to 50 percent off the retail price of many groceries you typically purchase. By participating in the Fare for All Express program, you are contributing to the overall price of the food because all the money is gathered to purchase bulk products and those savings are then passed on to the participants. Fore more information about scheduling, prices and products, call Dave Zick at (651) 770-1309.

The Arts Council of North St. Paul is a great way to exhibit your artistic talents or see the talents of other local residents. In the winter months, you can participate in the snow sculpture or ice sculpture events that showcase a number of astounding statues. The Art on the Street exhibits are generally available for one day in the spring and you can claim a square along the sidewalk to draw or you can just appreciate the talents of others. For more information about the arts council and its various events, call City Hall at (651) 747-2400.

The North St. Paul Historical Society is located at 2666 7th Avenue. It is designed to preserve the community's past and promote its impact on the region. The facility is open on Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also make an appointment to take special tours.
